Bags
Plastic bags are bags made of plastic (commonly used plastics such as polypropylene, polyester, nylon, etc.) as the main raw material. They are essential items in people's daily lives and are often used to hold other items. Due to its advantages of low cost, extremely light weight, large capacity, and easy storage, it is widely used. However, due to the long degradation cycle and difficult handling of plastic bags, it is prohibited from production and use in some countries.
Since June 1, 2008, China has implemented a plastic restriction order: a paid use system for plastic shopping bags will be implemented in all supermarkets, shopping malls, market markets and other retail places, and plastic shopping bags will not be provided for free. The production, sale, and use of plastic shopping bags with a thickness of less than 0.025 millimeters will be prohibited nationwide.
Most commonly used food plastic bags are made of polyethylene film, which is non-toxic and can be used to hold food. Another type of film is made of polyvinyl chloride, which is also non-toxic. However, the additives added according to the purpose of the film are often harmful substances to the human body and have a certain degree of toxicity. So this type of film and plastic bags made from it are not suitable for holding food. To distinguish between polyvinyl chloride plastic bags and polyethylene plastic bags, the following simple method can be used for identification.
